Have you seen the BAFTA nominated movie, ‘Life of Pi’ and gushed over the male protagonist’s performance in it? Well, that actor is none other than Suraj Sharma, a stalwart actor born and brought up in a Malayali family in Delhi and now ruling global cinema.
Suraj Sharma did his schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya secondary school and later studied at St. Stephen’s College in Delhi. As destiny would have it, with no prior acting experience, he auditioned for his breakthrough role in “Life of Pi’ and ever since, hardwork and luck have always been his best friends.
In his fantastic career up till now, Suraj Sharma has worked in various Hollywood and Bollywood projects. Some of his movies include ‘Million Dollar Arm,’ ‘Umrika,’ ‘Burn Your Maps,’ ‘The Hungry,’ ‘Wedding Season,’ and ‘Gulmohar.’
He has also featured in many TV shows like ‘Homeland,’ ‘God Friended Me,’ ‘How I met Your Father’ and ‘Star Wars: Visions.’
Sharma has also won any prestigious awards like Las Vegas Film Critics Society, MTV Movie Awards, Saturn Awards, London Indian Film Festival, 2023 Filmfare OTT Awards and been nominated for many others including the prestigious British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA).
Currently, he is working on an upcoming American physiological thriller titled, ‘This Tempting Madness’ directed by Jennifer E. Montgomery along with actor like Simone Ashley, Mojean Aria, Austin Stowell and Zenobia Shroff and we wish this Delhi boy many more successful projects.
